        <p>Four fragments, none joining, from an white marble architrave, with a single fascia (H. <measure dim="height" type="length">0.10</measure>). There is one line of carved decoration below this <term>fascia</term>; above it is an egg-and-dart moulding, and above that a panel of scroll decoration. a: <measure type="length" dim="width">0.635</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="height">2.42</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="depth">0.65</measure>; decoration survives above and below, the right end is complete and so, probably, is the left. b: <measure type="length" dim="width">0.29</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="height">1.28</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="depth">0.24</measure>; broken both ends, decoration broken away above. c: <measure type="length" dim="width">0.23</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="height">0.64</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="depth">0.48</measure>; broken both ends; decoration above still buried; underside revealed with a decorative panel. d: <measure type="length" dim="width">0.33</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="height">0.86</measure> × <measure type="length" dim="depth">0.22</measure>; broken at both ends; decoration broken away above.</p>

        <p n="a">Cormack read the first letter as a <foreign lang="grc">Λ</foreign>, followed by one space, whence Robert conjectured <foreign lang="grc"><supplied reason="lost">Ἑ</supplied>λλ<supplied reason="lost">ά</supplied>διος</foreign>; but although the surface here is in bad condition, examination of the stone and of a squeeze shows that the letter is an <foreign lang="grc">Α</foreign>, with a distinctive scroll dependent on the dropped cross-bar, and measuring <measure type="length" dim="none">0.06</measure>. There is space for two letters between this and the <foreign lang="grc">Δ</foreign> of <foreign lang="grc">Δῖος</foreign>. Although the surface to the left is only superficially chipped, I can determine no trace of other letters. After <foreign lang="grc">Δῖος</foreign> there is a thin but clear vertical line traversing the fascia.</p>
