Description of Monument

Three adjoining white marble lintel blocks (0.54, 0.64) a, left corner block, broken to right (1.14); b brokenin two fragments and at both ends (1.04); right corner block, c cut down (2.00), with elaborate moulding.

Inscribed on two fasciae; partly erased.

Apparatus

The line lengths, shorter than those suggested in the previous publication, have been established on architectural grounds after discussion with Dr. Dinu Theodorescu.

Translation

C. Julius Zoilos, priest of the god Aphrodite, saviour and benefactor of his country gave the sanctuary to Aphrodite.
