Description of Monument

Upper part of a round-headed marble stele (0.33 × 0.48 × 0.15), chipped on either side as well as cut away below; within the head is an incised olive wreath with pendant taenia that impinge on the body of the stele, above the text. There is a hole in the underside for attachment to a shaft below, which must also have been inscribed.

It is not clear whether the Aphrodisian priests crown someone or the Aphrodisians crown their priests.
