<p> The Council honoured the Demos in a pair to this (<xref type="inscription" n="817" href="020111">2.111</xref>). The lettering might suggest a late antique date; but if these texts were inscribed by the sculptors, and not by professional letterers the argument is not strong.</p><p>For another base for an image of the Council, see <xref type="inscription" n="863" href="080503">8.503</xref>.</p>
