White marble sarcophagus lid re-used as a trough (1.965 x 0.29 x 0.81).

Description of Text

Inscribed on the edge of the sarcophagus lid (1.965 x 0.08), which is rubbed in places and pierced by several holes; some of the damage was done before the inscription was cut. The text must have continued on the box of the sarcophagus.

Edition τὴν σορὸν καὶ τὰς εν αὐτῇ εἰσῶστας κατεσκεύασεν Τίτος Αἴλιος Ζωτικὸς εἰς ἣν σορὸν τεθάπται Φίλητος καὶ Ἀμμία τέκνα τοῦ Αἰλίου Ζωτικοῦ οὐδεὶς δὲ ἕτερος κτλ.

Translation

Titus Ailius Zotikos prepared the tomb and the subsidiary niches. In the tomb his children Philetos and Ammia have been buried but no-one else shall be placed therein
