        <p>Cut on the southern faces of the three bases. The columns
stand on a fairly high stylobate, so that the inscriptions, although
below eye-level, would have been clearly visible.</p>

        <p>Lightly but carefully cut, with some decorative flourishes;
thus in iii the central upright of the <foreign>omega</foreign> is used as the
upright of a cross. They are tall: i, <measure precision="circa" type="length" unit="metre" dim="height">0.12</measure>; ii, <measure type="length" unit="metre" dim="height">0.125</measure>; iii, <measure type="length" unit="metre" dim="height">0.13</measure>.</p>
