White marble panel carrying a moulded tabella ansata (1.51 × 0.85 × 0.25); broken in two pieces and chipped on the moulding, especially down the left side and at the upper left and lower right corners.

Edition Αὐτοκράτορι Θεοῖς Σεβαστοῖς Ὀλυμπίοις καὶ Θεᾷ Ἀφροδείτῃ ἐπιφανεῖ τῇ προμήτορι τοῦ γένους τῶν Σεβαστῶν ὁ δῆμος ὁ Ἀφροδεισιέων ἐκ τῆς ἐπιτραπείσης ὑπὸ τῶν Σεβαστῶν χάριτος καὶ ἐκ τῆς ὕλης τοῦ Εὐσεβιανοῦ βαλανείου καὶ ἐκ τῶν Ἀτταλίδος τῆς Μενεκράτους χρημάτων ἐργεπιστατησάντων τοῦ βαλανείου καὶ τοῦ ἀτρείου Τίτου Φλαβίου Ζήνωνος υἱοῦ Κυρείνα Μενανδρου ὑπὲρ οὗ Φλάβιος Ἄτταλος ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ συνετέλεσεν καὶ Λυσιμάχου τοῦ Ἀττάλου τοῦ Πυθέου ὑπὲρ οὗ Ἄτταλος καὶ Πυθέας οἱ Ἀττάλου τοῦ Πυθέου οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ συνετέλεσαν καὶ Ὑψικλέους τοῦ Ἀδράστου τετάρτου καὶ Ἀρισστοκλέους τοῦ Μενεσθέως τοῦ Ἀπολλωνίου Σκόπα ἐργεπιστατησάντων
Translation

For the Imperator, for the Gods Augusti and Olympian, and for the goddess Aphrodite, visibly present, the first mother of the family of the Augusti: the People of the Aphrodisians (built this) drawing upon the favour bestowed (upon them) by the Augusti, and upon the material of the Eusebian Bath, and upon the property of Attalis, daughter of Menekrates. Those who undertook care of the work in the bath and the atrium were: Titus Flavius Menandros, son of Zenon, of the voting tribe Quirina, on whose behalf his son Flavius Attalos completed the task,Lysimachos son of Attalos the son of Pytheas, on whose behalf Attalos and Pytheas, the sons of Attalos the son of Pytheas his brothers completed the task, Hypsikles son of Adrastos the son of Adrastos the son of Adrastos the son of Adrastos, and Aristokles son of Menestheus the son of Apollonios Skopas.

Commentary

The great grandson of Menestheus Skopas put up an inscription to Caracalla, 8.115 (=Theatre 23); on this inscription see Reynolds, loc. cit.
