        <p>A rectangular <rs type="objectType"><rs type="objectType">statue base</rs> shaft</rs>, without moulding, of <rs type="material" key="marmor">bluish marble</rs>, chipped at upper right corner, and broken in two (<measure precision="circa" type="length" unit="metre" dim="height">1.53</measure> × <measure type="length" unit="metre" dim="width">0.50</measure> × <measure type="length" unit="metre" dim="depth">0.37</measure>).</p>

        <head>Description of Text</head>
        <p>The inscription is laid out with unusual elegance: the epigram itself is cut within a decorative margin, and each couplet is inscribed in four lines (five for the third) with each line starting slightly to the right of the one above, but returning to the margin at the start of the next couplet.</p>
