Translation

Attalos Andron son of Peritas the son of Demetrius dedicated this column with its capital for his homeland at his own expense.

Commentary

One of the column base dedications from west portico of the East Court of the Hadrianic Baths. From north section: 5.206 (MiItal 8 i and ii), 5.201 (=Haussoullier1), 1119 (=Boulanger A 73, no.11); from the south section 1115 (=Boulanger B, 21 no.28), ?5.202 (=Museum 154), ?1120 (=Museum 158); cf also 1118 (=68.272)
