Translation

Nestor and Zenon sons of Epigonos the son of Dioscurides dedicated the fourteen columns with the capitals at their own expense to the People

Commentary

These two columns are from a group of fourteen dedicated by by Nestor and Zenon. Another four survive from the six dedicated by Artemon (Mendel 172). For further column dedications from the Hadrianic Baths see Boulanger B Page 23, no 29, and 84.64.

History of Recording

Mendel copied i and referred to ii (notebook A, 7, b; C, 9); the NYU expedition rediscovered i in 1988.
