A white marble columnar statue base shaft with moulding at top and bottom (1.12, diam. 0.48); there is a channel (0.095) down one side from just below the upper moulding to the bottom, and a clamp hole cut in the lower moulding approximately opposite it.

The People honoured Atimetos Petingas son of Charidemos, who became our citizen as well, and lived in good order.
Commentary
The differences in spelling are interesting. It is just possible that ii, with its clear mistake in l. 6, as well as other variants, was meant to be hidden.
No explanation for Petingas has ever been proposed, but it is probably an ethnic from a very small town. If so, Atimetos will have had a second citizenship at Aphrodisias.
