<p>This text was probably one of a group cut on a family tomb, elements of which were incorporated into the walls at the South-East Gate of the city: <xref type="inscription" n="1001" href="120410">12.410</xref> (=MAMA 462), <xref type="inscription" n="1010" href="130302">13.302</xref> (= MAMA 474, 475, 476), and this text. The group is published and discussed by <bibl type="primary" n="jmr1999"><author>Reynolds</author>, <title level="a">The first known Aphrodisian to hold a procuratorship</title>, <title level="m">Steine und Wege</title> (Vienna 1999), 327-334</bibl>.</p>
